The boys gaelic football team have started competitions this year with a whirlwind couple of days. Our boys from 5th and 6th classes represented the school with pride and showed respect throughout in both the Cois Farraige competition where they beat Réalt na Mara and in the Cumann na mBunscol Mini-7’s where they had wins against Mount Hanover, Bellewstown and St. Patrick’s Stamullen and a draw with Réalt na Mara. This meant having to go into a playoff where the boys narrowly lost out after a tiring but rewarding day in difficult conditions. Gratitude is extended to both the St. Colmcille’s and St. Patrick’s GAA clubs for the use of their facilities for these competitions.
