YOUR CHILDREN'S SCHOOL NEEDS YOU!!!!
We are in the initial phase of getting a school building project up and running. At the moment we have almost finalised the design team for the school. The process is slow and bureaucratic, but things are moving ahead,at the same time. We are very lucky in the school in so far as we don't have to provide a site for the proposed new building. Typically sites for school buildings are provided and paid for by the local community. This can cost hundreds of thousands of euro. One school, very close to here has undertaken major fundraising to provide a suitable site. We don't have to do this. However, we do want the best for the children in the school and an element of fundraising is required to enhance the facilities, equipment and resources that come with the new building. Waiting until the actual work begins reduces the time we have to build up a fund and we feel that the best results will come from immediate action.
The PA have formed a fund-raising sub-committee which is chaired by Alan Flynn. This committee is looking for your support. By all means financial support is welcome, but the sub-committee feel that your time will be of even greater benefit. Alan will welcome just a little of your time and he has drawn up a number of activities which they intend to undertake in the coming months.
