Dear Parents,
The Board of Management of the school has spent quite an amount of money over the past year especially during the summer months. The summer expenditure has been outlined in the September newsletter.
Day to day expenditure on things such as photocopying, paper, art supplies, PE equipment, books, tests, report forms, outside teachers, computers and so on, also erode the capitation grants provided to the Board of Management. We also provide an art teacher (Loreto) and a singing teacher (Geraldine) to classes. These teachers are funded from your contribution.
This school year again, I am asking for a contribution towards these costs from each family. There is no change in the suggested contribution from last year or the year before. Please fill out the attached form and return in envelope provided to your child's class teacher. Families with children in Junior and Senior Infants will not be asked to contribute, as they have already contributed to the extra funds needed by the Infant teachers.
Finally, we realise that some families may not be in a position, due to economic circumstances, to help out, but we would appreciate if this letter was acknowledged in the form below (if you cannot contribute) for school administrative purposes.
