Spring Poems from 3rd Class

Spring by Sam
Spring is here
Oh what can I hear?
The lambs are near
And full of cheer

Spring is here
I have nothing to fear
The flowers are growing
And the birds are crowing.


Spring by Bláthnaid
Spring is a lovely time of year,
The weather is mild and the skies are clear.
The flowers are blooming, the leaves are on trees
The animals are waking and so are the bees.
The farmers are planting the fields with some corn
While in other fields the baby lambs have been born.
We’re putting our woollens away till next year
And taking out our colourful Summer gear!

Flowers will grow
Streams will flow
Butterflies and bees will fill the trees.
Lambs will be hopping
Chicks will be popping
Birds will sing.
I love Spring!


Spring by Sofie
Spring is a lovely time of the year
When all the children laugh and cheer.
The only problem with springtime, though:
There is no lovely soft white snow.
Spring is lovely mild and bright and
I can go out and drink my Sprite.
I love to watch flowers grow
And all the birds as they come and go!
And baby calves that spring to life
And pounce around without any strife.

The birds will sing in the trees
But it’s not warm enough for bees
The dark evenings will get brighter
The clothes we wear will get lighter
The reason for these changes is clear
Hurray that Spring is here!
